Wineries in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

The Alpilles > Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

An organic estate within the AOC Les Baux de Provence appellation.

The Château Romanin estate is located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, at the foot of the ruins of a 13th-century Templar castle.

Nestling on the northern slopes of the Alpilles mountains, the estate covers 250 hectares, including 58 hectares of vines, 4 hectares of olive trees and 2.5 hectares of almond trees, all meticulously tended and cared for.

Biodynamic since its creation, the estate produces 50% red wines, 35% rosés and 15% whites.
The Les Baux-de-Provence PDO, to which the estate belongs, is a 100% organic appellation.
The distinguishing feature of the site is its Cathedral Cellar, where the wines mature peacefully in optimal conditions: constant temperature, the necessary humidity in the dark.

Jean-Louis and Anne-Marie Charmolüe took over the running of the estate in May 2006.
After their death, Brigitte San Quirce undertook to continue in the same vein as her parents, to make Château Romanin one of the finest references in Provence.

She and her entire team are passionate about continuing this fine tradition.
