Truffles in Uzès

A unique place in France, Les Truffières d'Uzès covers 15 hectares where the truffle is queen. On this large space, several types of activities and discoveries will be proposed to you as an arboretum, an insectodrome, a conservatory or a museum which will allow you to become indestrable on the environment favorable to the blooming of this mushroom, the method truffle harvesting, marketing, preparation in the kitchen. Depending on the season, you can also participate in a demonstration of digging (which means digging in Provençal) with one of the dogs of the farm. Do not miss the exhibition on "the truffle in the past" which will allow you to discover tools, works or photographs of the time telling the importance of the truffle culture from the late 18th to the beginning of the 20th century. . Many other discoveries (guided tours, triage of truffles, discovery of the truffle under the microscope, ..) await you in this place, full of history, which it's worth going out of your way to see.
