Camille is a chef who has carved a unique path in the world of Provençal cuisine.
Originally trained as a designer, Camille’s career took an unexpected turn when she decided to pursue cheese-making and cooking across various countries. After completing her training with a Meilleur Ouvrier de France fromager in Paris, she opened her own restaurant in Strasbourg. Post-pandemic, Camille transitioned to a more personalised approach, becoming a home chef. This shift has allowed her to connect more closely with her clients, offering a tailored culinary experience that reflects the local flavours of Provence.
"I am a designer by trade. I left everything in Paris to train in cheese-making and cooking around the world. Back in Paris, I finished my training with a Meilleur Ouvrier de France fromager. I opened my own restaurant in Strasbourg, and after the pandemic, I became a home chef because I needed to be closer to my customers. It has brought me great satisfaction. It is about getting close to your customers and sharing in their fondest memories. I strive to help them experience the most beautiful moments."
Camille’s culinary approach is shaped by the diverse produce found in Provence. She believes in the importance of allowing nature to guide her, letting the colours and smells of the local markets inspire her daily.
"I come from the north-east of France. For me, living in Provence feels like being on holiday every day. The sun, the good humour, the song of the cicadas—all inspire me to create. My goal is to ensure that my customers enjoy the region as much as I do here in the South. Provence inspires me to share and introduce new elements into my menus."
Camille enjoys crafting dishes that combine unexpected flavours, such as broccoli and blueberries with meat or watermelon and mint with fish. Her customers often delight in these discoveries.
"In Provence, we are fortunate to have an abundance of seasonal fruit and vegetables. During the summer, I enjoy combining very different flavours: broccoli and blueberries with a nice piece of meat, watermelon and mint with fish... I visit the market daily, and it is the smells and colours that guide me! Each day is different, and it is important to let nature lead the way. My customers love discoveries and surprises, and I am happy to oblige!"
