With her roots in the Luberon and a passion for sharing the region’s secrets, Steffie brings a fresh, thoughtful approach to our concierge team.
Her deep local knowledge, paired with international experience and a love for travel, means every itinerary is carefully curated with insight and flair. Whether you are dreaming of a guided tour through Provence’s historic towns, a gourmet cycling experience through The Alpilles, or a family holiday filled with relaxation and adventure, Steffie is here to help tailor every detail to you - making each stay feel truly personal.
“I have always been drawn to tourism and hospitality, and working in concierge means I can be part of creating something really personal for each guest.”
Born and raised in Provence, Steffie has an innate connection to the region and a genuine love for sharing its beauty. Her passion for travel led her to study Applied Foreign Languages at the University of Avignon, before taking her curiosity overseas to California. There, she spent four months working in a wine-tasting room in the coastal town of Carmel-by-the-Sea - an experience that not only helped her perfect her English, but also refined her palate and deepened her appreciation for regional food and wine.
Today, she channels her knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm into curating exceptional holidays for Provence Holidays guests. Before joining the concierge team, Steffie worked as a travel advisor in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, where she further honed her ability to design tailored experiences that reflect each traveller’s style. With a solid background in tourism and an instinct for understanding what makes a stay special, she now specialises in organising bespoke activities and services - everything from private chefs and vineyard visits to cultural tours and family outings.
From golden sunsets over The Luberon to the warmth of the people who call it home, Steffie is passionate about everything Provence has to offer. And when it comes to insider tips, she has plenty - starting with where to stay, what to eat, and how best to explore the region.
“What I love most is helping guests discover those little-known places and experiences they would never have found on their own,” she says. “It’s about adding that special touch.”
Her love for Provence is rooted in a deep sense of place but shaped by a broader view of the world. Fluent in both French and English, she is a vital part of our concierge team - warm, knowledgeable, and always ready to help guests make the most of their time in the South of France. With her background in tourism, her love of local culture, and her eye for thoughtful detail, Steffie is perfectly placed to guide guests through the best of Provence - offering not only a holiday, but a connection to the soul of the region.
Signature experience spotlight | Guided tours
“If there’s one experience that truly captures the spirit of Provence, it has to be a guided tour with one of our local experts,” says Steffie. “There’s something special about seeing the region through the eyes of someone who calls it home.”
Our private guides are more than just knowledgeable - they are passionate storytellers who bring Provence’s past and present to life. From the papal grandeur of Avignon and the graceful charm of Aix-en-Provence to the sun-drenched landscapes that once inspired Van Gogh in Saint-Rémy, each tour is a rich, immersive journey. Guests can follow a themed itinerary or create something entirely bespoke with the guide, based on their interests - whether that is Roman architecture, Provençal art, hidden villages, or local food and wine. With behind-the-scenes access, thoughtful touches, and genuine local insight, these experiences go far beyond the guidebook.
“I’m a native of Provence and a true globetrotter. I’ve always wanted to connect people with this region and its beauty" - Steffie
Steffie’s favourite villa for big groups | Mas Vernet
“Mas Vernet is perfect for large gatherings,” says Steffie. “There is something so special about sharing this space with friends or extended family - whether you are cooking together, relaxing by the pool, or discovering the Luberon’s hidden corners. It feels elegant, but also welcoming and warm.”
Tucked into the hills of The Luberon, Mas Vernet is a grand Provençal retreat that combines timeless style with modern comfort. With nine well-appointed bedrooms, spacious communal areas, and a large heated swimming pool, this property is ideal for groups looking to experience Provence in a refined yet relaxed setting.
The villa’s charm lies not only in its scale but in the thoughtful way it accommodates group travel. The interior includes multiple lounges and a dining area that opens onto the garden, making it easy to gather for meals or unwind in smaller groups. Outside, guests can lounge by the pool, enjoy long lunches under the pergola, or take in the surrounding countryside views with an evening apéritif. The nearby villages and walking trails provide plenty of opportunities for day trips and shared adventures.
In the Alpilles | Explore by electric bike
“This is such a fun and immersive way to experience The Alpilles,” says Steffie. “You are outside in the fresh air, surrounded by these incredible landscapes - and at the same time, you are meeting local people, tasting their products, and really getting a feel for the culture.”
Led by a knowledgeable local guide, the ride takes guests along quiet country lanes, through ancient olive groves, and past limestone cliffs that catch the golden light. Along the way, there are stops to meet passionate producers -think olive oil mills, goat cheese farms, and family-run wineries -where guests can enjoy tastings and hear the stories behind the products. There are several ways to explore, depending on your time and interest. The three-hour discovery ride is perfect for a relaxed introduction to the area, while the full-day gourmet tour is a deep dive into the region’s flavours and landscapes. For something extra special, Steffie recommends the five-hour sunset ride, which finishes as the hills turn pink and the air cools - often with a glass of wine in hand. This is Provence with all five senses: a little adventure, a lot of beauty, and the kind of local encounters that make a holiday feel truly unique.
“It is a beautiful mix of nature, culture, and food,” says Steffie. “You see and taste the real Provence - and the electric bikes make it easy for everyone to enjoy.”
Steffie’s favourite family-friendly villa | Bastide Gergouven
“This villa is one of my favorites because it truly brings families together. There is space for everyone to relax, play, and enjoy time as a group, while also having the freedom to do their own thing. It is the kind of place where memories are made.”
With six generous bedrooms, Bastide Gergouven is the kind of villa that feels like it was designed with families in mind. Set within expansive private grounds, it offers a heated pool, spacious terraces, and well-maintained gardens that encourage everyone to unwind and explore. Children can run freely between the outdoor play areas and shaded corners, while parents enjoy a peaceful moment on the sun-soaked terrace with a glass of local wine. For family bonding, the private tennis court and pétanque court are perfect for a friendly match before dinner.
The villa’s layout allows for both togetherness and privacy, with plenty of room for multi-generational stays or multiple families travelling together. Located close to some of the region’s most picturesque villages, including Gordes and Ménerbes, it strikes a balance between seclusion and accessibility.
Steffie's favourite eatery | Le Carcarille, near Gordes
“I always recommend the fillet of beef with morel mushrooms - it is rich, comforting, and perfectly done. And the wine list? Amazing. Especially if you want to try something local.”
If you ask Steffie where to eat near Gordes, she will point you straight to Le Carcarille - no hesitation. Set just below the village in a charming stone farmhouse, this family-run restaurant is one of her top picks for a meal that feels both refined and truly Provençal. Think garden terrace, seasonal ingredients, and dishes that celebrate the region without overcomplicating things.
Whether you are stopping in after a morning exploring The Luberon or looking for a quiet, elegant evening under the trees, Le Carcarille is a favourite for good reason. Casual enough to relax, but with that special something that keeps locals (like Steffie) coming back.
