What makes this village special?
As you walk through Lambesc, you can admire superb mansions, fountains, old washhouses, a church and several chapels and oratories. The village played an important political role by becoming, from 1646 to 1786, the seat of the General Assemblies of the Communities of the Pays de Provence, which earned it the nickname of "Versailles of Aix".
For history buffs, the museum of Vieux Lambesc offers an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the life of yesteryear. The surrounding land being conducive to the cultivation of vines, this is an opportunity to stop in one of the six cellars of the village and taste delicious nectars. Local products are showcased at the farmers' market, which takes place every Tuesday afternoon under the peasant hall, and at the Provençal market on Friday morning.
Lovers of nature and the great outdoors will not be left out. Lambesc offers many hiking trails, mountain bike circuits and, for cycling enthusiasts, a 31-kilometre route that connects Lambesc to Rognes via La Roque-d'Anthéron. Finally, Lambesc offers entertainment throughout the year, especially in summer!
